This beautiful waterfall flows in the Austin Creek State Recreation Area just above Armstrong Woods in Guerneville, California. A slow shutter speed of about 1/4 second enhances the feeling of the water's motion, and also allows the light to build up on the film in the lower pool area. A small aperture (and no breeze) keeps the rest of the picture in sharp focus. We use this image for our business card and website logo. 
There is great beauty in nature. Andy and I started Nature Photography in 1983 to be able to express that beauty on film, and offer our unique photographic viewpoint. We try to capture in our photography the same sense of awe that we feel when we are out hiking about. We started the greeting card line at that time, and our extensive library of stock images has been used in brochures and commercial advertising
